DAWN JOHNSON
ORATOR + HISTORIAN + EMERGING MUSEUM PROFESSIONAL
Dawn Johnson is an emerging historian and native of Chicago. After living in New Orleans for 5 years, she continues to amplify her cultural exposure through an interdisciplinary approach to studying history through cuisine, literature, and art. She has been featured on Conde Nast Traveller for The Best Tour in New Orleans, interpreter at The Whitney Plantation, and continues to bridge the gap between academia and public knowledge through Quotidian. Through a curated series of Tu-lit-erature Tuesdays, she invites audiences of all backgrounds to exercise their imagination by bringing literature to life through daily habits, discourse, critical analysis, and an array of Black narratives and authors.
